- 4. Plot Theo is theonly child of two lawyers so he loves the law. There is a murder trial for Mr. Duffy who is suspected to kill his wife. The Judge is Judge Gantry who knows Theo very well. Theo is the star of his Government class taught by Mr. Mount. While the murder trial is going on April, his best friend, is in the middle of a custody battle where she doesn’t want to live with either of her parents.
- 5. Problem After the trial has been going on for a while and it seems that Mr. Duffy will be found innocent, Theo friend Julio comes to him with a dilemma. Julio’s cousin, Bobby, saw Mr. Duffy kill his wife. Bobby works at a golf course and saw Mr. Duffy commit the murder while Bobby was on his lunch break, he even found evidence, the gloves that Mr. Duffy used. The only problem though, is that Bobby is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador. If Bobby testifies he will be sent to jail. Now Theo has to figure out what to do.
- 6. Solution (Spoiler Alert) Theo brings this problem to his uncle and parents they then tell Judge Gantry, without revealing Bobby’s information. In the end Judge Gantry calls off the trial and they start to help Bobby to become a legal immigrant.
