3. What are means of communication?
Means of communication are all those
systems used for the establishment of a
communication.
These systems are mainly based on a set of
communication channels and instruments
that allow the development of an exchange
of information.
Nowadays, there are multiple means of
communication. Although this concept is
sometimes related only to mass media such
as radio or television, we also understand as
a means of communication two-way
communication systems such as the
telephone.
4. How have they evolved?
Origen de los medios de comunicación
The printing press The herald Word of mouth
Invented by Gutenberg, it is
considered the beginning of
mass media. Thousands of
pamphlets and newspapers
began to circulate and
become available on the
market.
This figure was an
individual who announced
the main news without any
support, only through his
voice in certain places of
the city.
The transmission of fables,
myths, or sometimes
hoaxes, is considered as
another of the initial forms
of communication and
sharing of ideas among a
group of people.
In society these types of channels were/are used for people to
interact and end up sharing common criteria.
5. How are they classified?
The means or channels through
which an exchange of information
takes place within the private
sphere.
For example: telephone, fax...
The media that reach a large
number of the population and

Through the Internet, information reaches a large
percentage of the world's population in a simple and
immediate way. Digital media are supported by
personal computers, cell phones, tablets and other
mobile devices, through which information is
transmitted with a speed that surpasses any other
mass media. Information reaches thousands of
people in seconds. They fulfill the function of
informing and entertaining.

10. Elements of communication
Any communicative situation in which there is an exchange of information
between sender and receiver is a communicative act.
A sender sends a message that is received by a receiver through its
propagation in a shared channel and code.
The communicative act does not require a two-way exchange in which sender
and receiver are in the same space and time, but what is important is that one
of the agents sends a message to the other.
