Jesus travels to the town of Nain and sees a widow mourning the death of her only son. Jesus has compassion for her, touches the coffin, and commands the young man to rise, restoring him to his mother alive. Witnessing this miracle, the crowd praises God, recognizing Jesus as a great prophet and that God has visited his people through Jesus. News of this event spreads throughout Judea.
