The West TN Hub supports several districts in West Tennessee by addressing teacher shortages, sharing resources like teachers, and filling course needs such as AP and foreign language classes. It aims to be a consortium where districts can communicate needs and find solutions through various elearning models including asynchronous, hybrid, and designated online sections. In the past year, the Hub has helped with initiatives in Houston, Dickson, Gibson, Shelby, and Tipton counties as well as providing AP courses through a consortium of several districts.
Scotland’s colleges have a tradition of working with young people to develop their skills and aspirations. Working with the Scottish Executive, colleges are supporting its strategy to reduce the proportion of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) in Scotland.
Brian will discuss how colleges are addressing issues identified in the document 'More Choices, More Chances' to provide young people with the best possible start to adult and working life.
