The US Constitution and tradition asserts the majority will rule, but the rights of the minority will be protected. This causes certain dynamics in political parties. Do you think that the out of power party (ie, the one that doesn't have the White House and/or a majority in either House of Congress) is usually more united or more fractured than when they actually have those position? In other words, do you think the minority party will unify as a party in a concerted effort to plague the opposition presidency and/or obstruct the compromising principles of Congress? .
