Triangle firms support returning workforce
On Dec. 11, skills training and job placement firm reacHIRE graduated its first cohort of Raleigh-Durham area
professional women ready to re-start their careers after being out of the workforce to care for children or family.
The inaugural class of reacHIRE graduates in the Triangle.
The company, which was launched in Boston and recently expanded to the Triangle, offers an eight-week
training program that includes personal branding, resume writing, project management, collaboration software,
social media, data analytics and coding.
After completing the program, women receive contract project assignments at local businesses. Current
reacHIRE partners in the RTP area include Fidelity, Ipreo, RTI, Quintiles and EMC.
“Forty-three percent of women will exit the workforce at some point in their career to raise a family or care for
a loved one,” says reacHIRE CEO Addie Swartz. “It’s time we make sure these smart, talented women have a
clear pathway back in. A career break should not be a career-breaker.”
