The gym was in a separate part of the building. Both years were one year positions.

2011-20013- Kennebunkport, Maine- Helped (Jon Woodcock)-Physical Education
Teacher out on certain days with the walking program at Consolidated Elementary
School.
2007-2008- Kennebunkport, Maine Worked with Carol Cook from Kennebunkport,
Recreation Department and a community member. The goal was to integrate movement
into academics, “to keep the mind and body health.” Mrs. Cook purchased pedometers
through a grant. My class participated in using their pedometers to gain milage
throughout the day in a variety of ways. Everyday we added all our milage up (math &
cooperation) and transferred the milage on a sticky note onto a large map of Maine. As a
group we chose the direction (social studies/math, incorporated latitude and longitude
degrees) we used string to document our route. We would all do research based on what
town and county we landed on. Each small group had some thing to learn and report on
based on school curriculum & Maine Learning Result Standards. We walked to Graves
Library for research and had a few community members help with research and be guests
in the classroom to tell about the history of some of the towns in Maine.
1997-2004- Kennebunkport -Fun and Fitness After school teacher at Consolidated School
-In those years, I worked with Maureen Fulford, Matt Tushin, and Mareen O’sterman, I
also taught fitness programs for the Kennebunkport Recreation Department, run by Carol
Cook.
1994-1996- Gold’s Gym- Bangor: worked part-time as a Fitness Trainer, Areobics
Teacher, instructed resistance training and free weights. AFFA certifications -(Aerobics
and Fitness Association of America) certifications for those areas. I also worked selling
memberships.
1991-1995- Bradley, Maine: I did after school fitness programs like bike riding and cross
county skiing for grades 3-5.
1988-1990- Dexter Elementary School: After school fitness and gymnastics programs at.
5. 1987-1988- Bangor Recreation Department: Did some fitness programs for the.
1980-1984- Brewer High School- Coached High School Gymnastic Team. Duties
included: Organizing and running home competitions, budget and travel responsibilities,
teaching, and choreographing routines.
1980-1987- Brewer Middle School- After school Gymnastic teacher. Teacher and
choreographer for the annual Gymnastic Show.
1979-1991- Bangor, Maine Penobscot Valley School of Gymnastics. Help open the
school with the owner. I taught and coached gymnastic with children ages 5-18. I also
taught dance and choreographed optional routines.
