Abstract

Abstract
This design was improvising the existing
system of using cloth as menstrual
protection and looking at the entire chain
of problems related to using the cloth.
Shifting to a single square piece of
printed cloth, an effective and very simple
folding technique, providing barrier
sheets, disposable top layer all this put
in a well thought of packaging which is
a step to provide respect to the subject
of menstruation, which is otherwise
treated like a dirty subject.The design also
falls in a sustainable system in terms of
environment and cost effectiveness.

Paper has many qualities like – light
weight, flexible, easy to handle.That’s what
makes it a perfect material for a design
exploration in the field of jewellery.
This project involves understanding
various paper crafts and art techniques
and understanding their usage in jewellery.
The final product line of paper jewellery
is developed on the negative positive
technique, where ‘none’ goes waste.
As seen in the picture- the neck piece is
derived out of one circular paper.

19. Abstract
Tic Tic Chintee is a wooden pull along
toy designed for children of age group 1-3
years.The toy was designed to appeal to
the children of the given age group and at
the same time considering their safety.
The design needed to take manufacturing
as a major consideration as wooden toys
cannot be sold at very high prices. Hence
the ant was eventually made using many
wooden plates.The eye of the toy became
the main feature of the toy which gave
it the ‘toyness’ required.The toy moved
using simple crank mechanism.
The toy was named as Tic Tic Chintee.‘
Chintee’ in India means ant and ‘chintoo’
is a common pet name. hence making this
toy a household name.The sound made
by Chintee when it moves is ‘Tic Tic’.

Abstract
Game design involved one to understand
strategy of fun. As per the problem brief
a frugal game needed to be designed.
Ball Maze Wall is a 3 Dimensional two
player game where each opponent
starting from centre has to take there
marbles to their home points.The game
gets tricky as one players movement
affects the opponents marble.
The dice had 1,2, 3 count and the other
three sides were Bonus wall, Miss a turn
and use both hands.The above adds
excitement to the game.

5. Ball Maze Wall- Game Design
As the name suggests the game is composed of a ball
that moves around a maze to reach home points.
The bonus walls adds to the excitement. It‘s a push
and pull situation where each player can disturb the
marble of the opponent. Being a dice based game it
involves some amount of luck as well.
The game is made frugal by making the setup in
plastic with foam used for spring action.

6. My Toy Factory
Abstract
The Project was developed at MadRat
Games- Banglore. My Toy Factory is an
eco-friendly science based toy making kit
for children of age group 12-14 years.
The basic idea is to encourage children
to make toys out of things that are easily
available at home like paper, ice cream
sticks, bottle caps etc. which they will
otherwise throw away.
The story is based on Apocalypse,
and hence making a survival kit.
The illustrations were based for this
context where everything is destroyed
and the child along with the toy character
Robie have to reach a safer place.
