A student thanked a group called Nigigoonsiminikaanings for donating wild rice to their grade 4/5 class. The student learned how to make bannock on a stick, roast wild rice over a fire, and start a fire with three matches. While the smoke hurt the student's eyes and the bannock looked burnt on the outside and raw inside, it tasted good. The student enjoyed learning more about wild rice and being outdoors.

Nigigoonsiminikaanings for donating Wild Rice to the Grade
4/5 class. I learned How to make Bannock on a stick and how
to roast Wild Rice.
I had so much fun making the Wild Rice but the smoke got in
my eyes and it hurt. I also learned how to make a fire with 3
matches so now I know what to do. The Bannock tasted so
good even though it looked gross, It was black from the
smoke and raw in the inside but It actually tasted good.
It was really fun and I thank you for helping the Grade 4/5
learn more about Wild Rice!
