The reader is drawn towards her breasts as they are big and are middle of the page. She looks to be sweating or covered in something which gives her a saucy and sexual look. Facial expression The facial expression shown is a romantic and sexual one. This is shown by pouting her lips and she is holding onto her bikini about to pull it off, which shows that she may be available and sexual. This is Margery Fergusons theory (1980)

Laura Mulvey She said that the male gaze is visually pleasing and that women are only used in films as sexual objects to get men to watch Criticism of her theory Her theory only takes into account heterosexual men not gay or lesbian people. Times have change now, men are now used as sexual figure to attract women. A good example would be James bond Casino Royal were he is scene in Speedos this is to attract women into watching the film. I would call this the female gaze.

4. Features She doesn't seem to be wearing much which gives us the idea that she is hot and the spotlight is on her which means she is centre of attention. Also the background looks to be a water which shows a relaxing atmosphere and gives us the impression that she is in a hot place. She is holding onto her bikini which makes us think she is about to take it off and also it doesn’t cover much of her chest so it is very revealing. This gives us the idea that she is single and is maybe looking for someone.
