Makerere University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Africa. It has nine halls of residence, including Lumumba Hall and Mary Stuart Hall. Lumumba Hall and Mary Stuart Hall have a solidarity known as "boxers" and share cultural traditions such as an annual porridge night celebration. Lumumba Hall was established in the late 1960s and is the largest hall on campus, housing over 750 students. Mary Stuart Hall is the oldest female hall and is known as the "box" due to its physical structure.

13 students of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) went ‘gap packing’ during the semester break in January 2012. Campus trip to K’ ARTS University, Yonsei University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Soongsil University was an eye opening experience for us in learning the undergraduate student system in South Korea. We also surely would really miss hospitality provided by StayKorea . Last but not least, many thanks to Seoul Red Cat and Julia Tour who ensured our trip went smoothly.
