The Battle of Zela was a battle fought in 47 BC between Julius Caesar and Pharnaces
II of The Kingdom of Pontus. The battle took place in Zile, what is now a small hilltop
town in the Tokat province of northern Turkey. The Pontic army positioned itself near
the hilltop town of Zela, but as Caesar's men were entrenching their own camp on
nearby high ground the Pontic force suddenly attacked. This action was unexpected
as it defied logic to give up the solid position at Zela and to attack uphill. The assault
achieved momentary surprise and at first gained some ground amidst the confusion,
but the veteran Roman legionaries soon recovered and quickly organised a defensive
line. Caesar then went onto the counter-offensive and drove the Pontic army back
down the hill, where it broke into a complete rout.
After the battle, Caesar did something that is very well known even in the

X was an American innovator and entrepreneur who founded the Y.
During his lifetime X donated $100 million to various organizations
but most of the money went to the University of Rochester and to the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (under the alias "Mr. Smith").
In recognition of his donation to MIT, the university installed a plaque

Students at MIT rub their noses on the plaque for good luck.

The X Y: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, is a literary/philosophical
book by the epistemologist Nassim Nicholas Taleb. The book focuses
on the extreme impact of certain kinds of rare and unpredictable
events (outliers) and humans' tendency to find simplistic explanations
for these events retrospectively.
This theory has since become known as the X Y theory that describes
an event that comes as a surprise, has a major effect, and is often
inappropriately rationalized after the fact with the benefit of
hindsight.

The songs of Kalo Harin, with their folk touch and Dalit vigour, became hits. The songs
penned by N. P. Chandrasekharan were set in the manner of songs of Vattakkali and
Tholukali the traditional dance forms followed by the families of Kolothumpadam, the
native place of X. The music scored by K. Raghavan, the legend of the music field of
Malayalam gave them real folk attire. An audio album including these songs became
popular at that time.
Some lines from the songs after translation:
Who'll sing X's lore
Who'll hear the tale of valour
The damsel with dark cheek'll sing
The world of Malayalam'll hear it with pride
As X plays the wind will turn
The destroyer of aggressors is his guardian
At his beck and call is the God of war.

A reporter from Bloomberg Businessweek visited the site of X in
2013 and described it as "ordinary two--story red-brick buildings
about a half-mile from Google‟s main campus. There‟s a burbling
fountain out front and rows of company-issued bikes, which
employees use to shuttle to the main campus."
X‟s projects are often referred to as "moonshots" within the
company.
One of X‟s projects is Project Loon which aims to bring internet
access to everyone by creating an internet network of balloons
flying through the stratosphere.

In the wake of X being formally decommissioned on 28 February 1990,
Vinton Cerf wrote the following lamentation, entitled "Requiem of the
X".
It was the first, and being first, was best,
but now we lay it down to ever rest.
Now pause with me a moment, shed some tears.
For auld lang syne, for love, for years and years
of faithful service, duty done, I weep.
Lay down Thy packet, now, O friend, and sleep.

._________ the circle is a problem proposed by ancient geometers. It is the
challenge of constructing a _______ with the same area as a given circle by using
only a finite number of steps with compass and straightedge. More abstractly and
more precisely, it may be taken to ask whether specified axioms of Euclidean
geometry concerning the existence of lines and circles entail the existence of such
a ______.
In 1882, the task was proven to be impossible, as a consequence of the Lindemann–
Weierstrass theorem which proves that pi (p) is a transcendental, rather than an
algebraic irrational number; that is, it is not the root of any polynomial with
rational coefficients. It had been known for some decades before then that the
construction would be impossible if pi were transcendental, but pi was not proven
transcendental until 1882.
The expression "_______ the circle" is sometimes used as a metaphor for trying to
do the impossible.

Each player has an allocated colour. Players take turns placing a stone of their
color on a single cell within the overall playing board. The goal for each player is to
form a connected path of their own stones linking the opposite sides of the board
marked by their colors, before their opponent connects his or her sides in a
similar fashion.
The game can never end in a tie, a fact proved by _________ : the only way a player
can prevent an opponent from forming a connecting path is to form their own path.
In other words, Hex is a “determined” game.

X is a soldier or airman assigned to a commissioned officer as a personal
servant. The term has been derived from the French word for “packsaddle”.
In the army the word „sahayak‟ has been used post independence however now
there have been suggestions to do away with concept as the Navy and the
Airforce already have.
In Pakistan the term X is still in use.
X's duties often include:
>acting as a "runner" to convey orders from the officer to subordinates
>maintaining the officer's uniform and personal equipment as a valet
>driving the officer's vehicle, sometimes under combat conditions
>acting as the officer's bodyguard in combat
>other miscellaneous tasks the officer does not have time or inclination to do.
