Sur la différence d’approches entre médecins du travail et psychiatres, mais également quelques élements concernant la situation historiques des premières descriptions du burn out et le traitement fait dans les autres pays.
Différence psychiatre et médecin du travail
• Différence entre clientèle du psychiatre et celle du médecin du travail.
L’un ne voit que ceux qui se sentent en besoin de consulter un psy tandis que l’autre voit tous les salariés. Du moins jusque maintenant.
• Différence entre culture du psychiatre soit psychanalytique et tout dépend de l’enfance ou comportementaliste tout revient à l’attitude du patient tandis que le médecin du travail connaît le travail, la structure de l’organisation, du groupe, les caractéristiques du rôle attendu et de la tâche prescrite ainsi que les stratégies développées par le salarié, toutes choses ignorées par le psychiatre.
Différence due à cette pathologie qui fait que le salarié ne se sent pas patient psy mais salarié épuisé voire déboussolé, d’autant que les symptômes sont spécifiques aux situations de travail. Il ne ressent pas le besoin de consulter un psychiatre qui, pour lui, a la compétence sur les psychoses voire les névroses et états limites de personnalité ce qui n’est pas son cas. Au mieux, il consultera un psychologue ou son médecin traitant. Ce qui fait que les psychiatres interrogés parlent sans connaître.
