Lesson 22 revelation seminars the seven plagues of revelationNick Pellicciotta
The document discusses the seven plagues described in Revelation chapters 15-16. It provides background on each plague, including that they will fall upon those who receive the mark of the beast. Each plague targets a different aspect of false worship. The plagues will turn the seas to blood, pollute the fresh water, scorch the earth with intense heat, and plunge the kingdom of the beast into darkness. The sixth plague will involve drying up the Euphrates river to prepare the way for the kings of the East to engage in the battle of Armageddon. The plagues will last one year and are God's final warnings and punishments before his judgment is complete.

It provides several examples of people, places, things and events from the Old Testament that served as types and shadows pointing to Jesus as the fulfillment. The key idea is that Jesus helped his disciples see how all of scripture spoke of his suffering, death and resurrection.

End Time Church Deception Powerpoint Presentationmail2jimmy123
The document discusses end times theology and debates around the timing of the rapture. It argues that the common belief in a pre-tribulation rapture is a relatively new doctrine, and cites several biblical passages that suggest Christians will experience the tribulation period and the second coming of Christ will occur at the end of the tribulation. The document aims to dispel popular rapture theories and outline what it sees as the true biblical timeline of end times events based on scripture.

Prophecy Lost And Found - Prophecy In The News Magazine - March 2007miscott57
The document discusses how and why premillennial dispensationalism, the belief that Christ will return before establishing his kingdom on Earth, fell out of favor after the 1st century. It states that in the 2nd-3rd centuries church leaders began applying Old Testament prophecies about Israel to the church instead, thinking Israel no longer had a future. This view became dominant for over 17 centuries until John Nelson Darby revived premillennialism in the 19th century by concluding the early church fathers were wrong to spiritualize prophecies about Israel.
This document provides a summary of a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on the topic of Exodus 32:1-6, 11-14 about rebellion. The summary includes:
1) The sermon discusses two main teachings from this Exodus passage - intercession and the presence of God. It highlights how Moses interceded for the Israelites after the golden calf incident, pleading for God to forgive them.
2) It then discusses how to practice the presence of God based on Moses' encounter with God at Mount Sinai. When Moses' face shone from being in God's presence, the sermon outlines eight steps to regain God's presence when it is lost, including determination, preparation, isolation
Rapture of church in matthew 24 debunked?Charles Dube
1. The document discusses the timing and nature of the rapture of the church based on an analysis of Matthew 24:29-41.
2. It argues that the "elect" referred to in Matthew are Israel, not the church, and that the gathering described will occur at the second coming, not the rapture.
3. Several reasons are given for why the rapture is not described in Matthew 24, including that Jesus was speaking to Jews and the context is Jewish in nature, and that Paul revealed the mystery of the church in his epistles.
A verse by verse commentary on Matthew chapter 11 dealing with Jesus and John the Baptist.. Jesus praised John as the greatest born of women, but greater yet are those who are least in the Kingdom of God. Jesus goes on to denounce the cities where he did most miracles and yet the people did not believe. It will be more tolerable for Sodom than for them in the day of judgment. Jesus urges the weak and weary to come to Him and find rest.
A ruler named Jairus came to Jesus and begged him to heal his 12-year-old daughter who was dying. As Jesus was following Jairus to his home, a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years touched Jesus' garment, believing it would heal her. Her bleeding immediately stopped. Jesus turned and acknowledged her faith had healed her. When Jesus arrived at Jairus' home, his daughter had already died. Jesus took her by the hand and told her to get up, and she was raised from the dead. Both the woman and Jairus' daughter were healed after 12 years of illness or affliction by touching Jesus or being in his presence, demonstrating his power over sin, death and disease
This document discusses biblical prophecies related to the "third day" and the holy blood. It suggests that discoveries about blood found on the Ark of the Covenant's mercy seat by Ron Wyatt could trigger events related to the second coming of Christ. Several Old Testament passages mentioning a "third day" are examined, with the author arguing this refers to events near the year 2000. The temporary nature of the old sacrificial system is described, with the ultimate necessary sacrifice being that of Jesus Christ.
This document discusses an organization called The Reformation Project that is working to change evangelical churches' views on homosexuality. The organization holds conferences to train LGBT Christians and allies to reform doctrine on sexual orientation and gender identity using biblical arguments. The document warns that these advocates are organized, serious, and intend to change people's minds and theology. It asserts their conclusions are based on a selective use of historical evidence, and that there is no biblical support for their views. The document encourages Christians to be prepared to address this movement's efforts to change churches' stances on these issues.
The document discusses the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12. It explains that the remnant of God's church will keep the commandments of God and have faith in Jesus. In contrast, the beast power will worship the antichrist and break God's commandments. It also discusses how the new covenant written on the heart by the Holy Spirit will enable God's end-time people to obey his commandments through love.

The document discusses whether 666 is the mark of the beast. It provides biblical references to define key terms like waters, beast, dragon, and lamb. It argues that the mark of the beast is Sunday worship, as revealed in passages commanding no buying or selling without the mark. The mark will be enforced in the forehead or right hand, mirroring how God's law was to be bound as a sign. Currently, no one has the mark of the beast, but when Sunday laws are enforced, it will become clear who worships the beast by disobeying God's command to keep the seventh-day Sabbath. God will protect those who keep his commandments from plagues when they fall on those with the mark
The document discusses the concept of faith as presented in the Bible. It provides several examples from Scripture of people who lived by faith, including Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and others. It also examines what it means to have the faith of Jesus Christ and discusses how faith involves trusting in God's promises without seeing their fulfillment.
A verse by verse commentary on LUKE chapter 9 dealing with Jesus sending out the twelve, and then His feeding of the five thousand. Then come Peter's confession of Christ followed by the Transfiguration of Jesus. Jesus goes on to heal the boy with an evil spirit. Jesus then teaches about who is the greatest and about the cost of following Him.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Unchangeable Law #6 - Are the Ten Commandments important and relevant today? What is the purpose of God's law? Were they done away with after Jesus came? Is the law eternal or has it changed? We are not under the law but under grace, but does that mean we have the freedom to break the law? The day is coming when laws will be passed regarding worship which goes against God's laws. Those who pass the laws will believe what they are doing is right and biblical. We need to know the difference between God's laws and man's laws.

The document discusses God's rescue mission to save humanity from evil forces. It describes how Jesus came to rescue those who are lost by defeating the devil and bringing people into God's kingdom. It encourages Christians to participate in God's rescue mission by preaching about the kingdom of God, making disciples, and helping others transform through Christ so they can escape corruption and live according to God's will.
The document discusses the meaning and significance of baptism according to the Bible. It begins by defining baptism as immersion in water based on the original Greek word. It then examines different types of baptism mentioned in the Bible and explains that baptism is for penitent believers as a symbolic burial and rebirth in Christ that washes away sins. The document emphasizes baptism is a command of Jesus and essential for salvation, not just a religious ritual or tradition.
The Spirit of Holiness & The Sanctification of Man Part 1: The Spirit of Jesu...sab21st
The Spirit of Holiness & The Sanctification of Man Part 1: The Spirit of Jesus Christ
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 1:4)
Our salvation and Sanctification are from the gift of Christ and all gifts of Christ are communicated to us and given to us by the Spirit of Christ – The Holy Spirit.
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HEART OF MANKIND BASED ON THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS AT CALVARY & ITS BENEFITS FOR MANKIND
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5).
All communications of supplies and relief, in the beginnings, increases, actions of any grace whatsoever, from Jesus Christ, are by The Holy Spirit, by whom He alone works in and upon us (believers).
FROM HIM WE HAVE OUR SALVATION AND SANCTIFICATION
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (Acts 5:31)
THEREFORE BEING BY THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD EXALTED, AND HAVING RECEIVED OF THE FATHER THE PROMISE OF THE HOLY GHOST, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. (Acts 2:33)
1) The document discusses the power of preaching the gospel according to passages in Acts. It describes how preaching the word, Christ, and the kingdom are all equivalent to preaching the gospel.
2) It emphasizes the need to preach the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as the core of the gospel message. Belief and baptism are required for salvation.
3) The story of Simon the sorcerer is examined, showing how true repentance through prayer can bring forgiveness of sins even after falling away. God's grace through Christ's blood sacrifice provides redemption and cleansing from sin.
Why do godly Christians disagree over doctrine? Is disagreement always bad? What does the Jerusalem Council teach us about solving disagreements - among ourselves, within the church or between leaders? Acts 15:5-35
6. Why did the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15 tell the Gentile Christians to “abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication” and to listen to Moses read on the Sabbath day? Isn’t this telling them to keep at least some of the law?
The document examines evidence from the Bible to determine if Jesus can truly be considered the son of God. It presents several passages that refer to Israelites, David, and others as God's "son" in a metaphorical sense. It also questions the authority and teachings of Paul, who first identified Jesus as the son of God, noting ways in which Paul contradicted the teachings and example of Jesus. The document concludes that the Bible does not confirm Jesus as the literal son of God, and that Christianity embraced the teachings of Paul, who may have been an anti-Christ for distorting earlier monotheistic teachings.
This document provides summaries of several Bible passages about the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. It discusses their purpose of perfecting saints, doing the work of ministry, and building up the body of Christ. It also defines the roles of each position, with apostles being missionaries who set things in order, and prophets being people who receive the word of God and foresee future events. The overall message is about the importance of these ministries in preaching the gospel and bringing people to unity in faith.
The document discusses why the gospel is important. It provides three key reasons:
1) The gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). It is the only thing that can rescue people from sin and death.
2) The gospel was the central focus of Jesus and Paul's lives and ministries. They devoted themselves to preaching the gospel.
3) The gospel serves as the foundation for the Christian life. It impacts how believers live and provides strength during trials. Living according to the gospel ensures one's spiritual house will withstand storms.
We must be very careful that in teaching the gospel we do not teach a different gospel that leads souls away from Christ and salvation in Him. Paul warns of teaching a different Jesus, Spirit, and Gospel. This lesson examines the “different Jesus”.

The document discusses how baptism truly changes everything. It summarizes that through baptism we are changed into Jesus' image as we are transformed to be conformed to his likeness. Baptism changes our relationships, attitudes, and directions in life as we become new creations in Christ, putting on Christ and putting off our old sinful nature.
All of us (Christians) have a responsibility to teach the gospel of Christ. In this second lesson we continue to study evangelism. Both audio and slides can be found at www.cmcoc.org Sermon by: Brian Birdow
This document provides an overview and summary of 1 Corinthians 15, which discusses the resurrection of Jesus and its significance. Some key points include:
- Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was resurrected on the third day, as witnessed by Cephas, the twelve disciples, over 500 people, and Paul.
- If Christ has not been resurrected, then the preaching of the gospel is in vain, faith is worthless, and believers are still in their sins.
- Christ was the first fruits of the resurrection, and all who belong to him will be resurrected when he returns. Our current mortal bodies will be changed into immortal, spiritual bodies.
-
The document is a sermon about baptism given at the Jackson Street Church of Christ. It discusses how God joins baptism to salvation, belief, forgiveness of sins, and receiving the Holy Spirit based on numerous Bible passages. It argues that baptism is an important part of becoming a Christian and should not be separated from what the Bible teaches about its role in salvation. The sermon exhorts the congregation to be baptized if they have not already done so in order to be saved.
Deeper the resurrection and eternal life - april 24John Smith
The document discusses how the resurrection of Jesus Christ affirms several things:
1) Heaven is ours because through Christ's resurrection we have the promise of eternal life.
2) Our faith is true because if Christ did not rise from the dead then our faith is in vain.
3) Perseverance is possible because Christ's resurrection gives us hope that we can endure hardships and trials.
4) Evil is done for because through his resurrection, Christ destroyed death and the devil who had power over death.

The first teaching in the series "Growing Deep in the Gospel". In this teaching we answer the question "Why is the Gospel Important?" by looking at Romans 1:16, several other Bible verses and quotes from pastors and Christian authors. Then in light of the importance of the gospel we look at what we should do with the gospel.
The document discusses living by faith and above the line spiritual truths. It presents four spiritual truths: 1) Jesus died and rose again, 2) I died and rose again with Jesus, 3) I am now a new creation in Christ, and 4) Jesus is in me and I am in Him. It questions whether these truths are truly believed. It then discusses how believing that I died and rose with Jesus means I am freed from sin and should no longer be enslaved to it or let it reign, but instead offer myself to God and use my body for righteousness. It encourages talking about what it means to be dead to sin and why it's hard to believe being spiritually dead, and what happens if that truth
1 Peter 3:13-22: As Peter continues to encourage us through our exile, he reminds us that though we my suffer and come to harm, God wants to bless us. So we don’t have to fear or be troubled, we keep Jesus in our hearts as Lord, and we tell others of our hope. The example of Christ reminds us that Jesus suffered also, but was blessed.

Acts 7:20-29: Moses sought to be with his brothers but they rejected him. And he was exiled. Cain refused to care for his brother, and he was alone. But it’s not good for man to be alone. Why do we slip into the thinking of Cain so easily and find ourselves alone? Being brothers is not easy, but let brotherly love continue.
Of all the metaphors for believers, the one most often used in the NT is “adelphos” (siblings, brothers and sisters). After Jesus’ ascension the company who gathered in the upper room consisted of both men and women, and Peter calls all of them brethren. In Acts 15, both Jewish believers and Gentile believers are called brethren.

The document discusses Jesus Christ's relationship to believers as their brother. It notes that Christ partook of flesh and blood to become like his brothers in every way so that he could be a merciful and faithful high priest to help those who are tempted. As the Son of God, Christ calls believers his brothers and sisters and shares in their humanity so that he can bring many sons and daughters to glory. The document encourages believers that as holy brothers and sisters of Christ, they share in his heavenly calling from God.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
