The GLPI Project is an open source asset and IT service management solution used by small associations, public sector organizations, education institutions, industries, and banks. It allows users to manage hardware, software, licenses, incidents, requests, problems, changes, and knowledge base entries. The core is developed by a 10 person team at Teclib' along with contributions from integrators, freelancers, individuals, and companies. Upcoming related projects include FlyveMDM for mobile device management and Armadito for antivirus software. Maintaining and improving the long-standing GLPI codebase while adding new features presents ongoing challenges around modernizing code, improving tests, expanding documentation, and supporting an international community.
