Every lawyer needs eDiscovery. Do you do it right?
Learn how to navigate dramatically increasing amounts of electronic data in this free Clio webinar.
How does your firm handle eDiscovery? In litigation and government investigations, eDiscovery is the process by which information is exchanged electronically—and it’s becoming more and more common.
Unlike traditional information stored in paper form, electronic information is much more pervasive, long-lasting, and transient. During a discovery disclosure, you will get mountains of data that needs to be sorted and analyzed. In this webinar, we’ll talk about the principles of eDiscovery and how your can ensure that your practice can properly preserve and sort information efficiently.
Join Nextpoint CEO Rakesh Madhava and Clio’s own Joshua Lenon as we walk you through:
- the basics of eDiscovery
- which tools your firm should use to acquire and preserve information
- how to quickly find the nuggets of data your case needs
- how to integrate eDiscovery better into your practice
Even with the growing importance of eDiscovery, most law firms still aren’t prepared to handle large amounts of digital information. Make sure that yours isn’t one of them.
DevOps provides the ability to increase time to market to an new level. The question is no longer if we need to speed up our delivery. The challenge is to find the right „pace“ for your product. Not every organization and every product needs to run at the speed of Netflix and Spotify, even if we’d like it to be like this. We need to adjust the organization, processes and tools appropriatly and to identify the real bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline continuously. And by the way, we need to justify our investment in the DevOps mission. Are we just automating the current processes or can we use this DevOps thing to really support our business? In this talk, I’d like to discuss with you how to find the right design for your delivery process and your organization to behave as a business enabler and how you can scale DevOps within your organization without loosing agility. Let’s explore how we can listen carefully to the unknown customer out there and to build software they really like in the speed of your business.

Association rule visualization techniquemustafasmart
This document describes a project submitted for a degree in computer science. It discusses studying techniques for visualizing association rules discovered from databases by developed algorithms. The project aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these visualization techniques to determine the most appropriate for solving a main drawback of association rules, which is the huge number of extracted rules that cannot be manually inspected. The document provides background on data mining, association rules, and functional dependencies. It then outlines chapters that will explain the knowledge discovery process, association rule mining, and visualization techniques used for association rule visualization.
This document provides an agenda for a presentation on harnessing the power of big data with Oracle. The agenda includes introductions to big data and market trends, defining big data, an overview of the Oracle Big Data Appliance, Oracle's integrated software solution, and a demonstration. The presentation aims to show how Oracle can help organizations access and analyze large, diverse datasets to drive innovation.
This document discusses a formal specification for event processing called LEAD. It proposes new operators and a rule grammar to address challenges in complex event processing (CEP) like performance, scalability, state management, ambiguous semantics, and lack of expressiveness. The key contributions are a pattern algebra extending common CEP operators, a rule grammar to define patterns and obtain actions, and a novel logical execution plan using timed colored Petri nets to facilitate deployment. An example use case of product roll-up tracking is presented to illustrate how LEAD can formulate a problem with interdependent patterns in fewer queries compared to other CEP frameworks.
The document summarizes a study that ranked over 200 seed accelerators and incubators in the US and Europe based on metrics like the percentage of portfolio companies receiving qualified financing, exits, venture capital perception, stipend values, and equity stakes. The top programs in the US were found to be TechStars Boulder, Y Combinator, and Excelerate Labs based on these metrics. In Europe, SeedCamp was found to be the top program, while StartupBootcamp followed the Techstars model. The study aimed to provide entrepreneurs guidance on accelerator selection and understand the scalability and profitability of the accelerator model.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
