This document summarizes a project called "Flowers Unite Europe" that brought together senior learners from six European countries to share photos of flowers in their regions. Each country's partner chose their best photos to send to Italy for the final selection. Italy was chosen to select the overall winner because of its expertise in flower competitions. The Italian judges chose one winning photo from each country based on criteria like representing culture, harmony with nature, arrangement, and variety. The winning locations were Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Mosset, France; Funchal, Portugal; Tallinn, Estonia; Rzeszow, Poland; and Monte di Procida, Italy.

Ricardo Reis Pessoa

60. This powerpoint presentation has been carried out by a group of senior learners with the help of the staff of the ACLI association. They have brought together the photographic material, accompanied by music, produced by the other learners of our European partners within the project ‘Flowers unite Europe’. They were asked to take photos of their own countries, portraying the most picturesque and flowery spots including balconies, small gardens and terraces.
61. Participants from each country, after carefully evaluating the photos which in their opinion better represented the style, traditions and care of the common people towards green spaces and flower growing and design, they choose and sent their slides to the Italian partner delegated to the final evaluation of the best and most significant flowery corners. Italy was chosen to act as the delegate to choose the symbolic winner of the best flowery area because of its familiarity with this type of competition that is organized every year by the town hall of Bacoli and Monte diProcida and the support and organization of the ACLI organization.
