The Texas House and Senate approved SB 747 which increases educational and experience requirements for real estate licenses in Texas. The bill will become law on June 19 unless vetoed. It modifies the definition of broker, adds education requirements for salespersons, and increases experience requirements for broker licenses to 4 years of active experience in the past 60 months. Houston home sales decreased in May while new listings and pending sales also declined compared to the previous year.
