THE CONDITIONALS
CONTENTS
What are the conditionals?
Zero , First, Second & Third
Conditionals
What would you do? Let’s talk!
Conditionals are like the "choose your own
adventure" of the English language. They
help us talk about things that might
happen, could have happened, or will
definitely happen.
WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONALS?
Do you know some facts that are generally true?
ZERO CONDITIONAL
When the sun sets, it’s time to sleep.
If I sleep late, I wake up tired.
What if your dreams are possible to become
true?
FIRST CONDITIONAL
If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home.
I will go to the cinema when I finish the class.
Sometimes there are situations that are almost
impossible to happen. What do you think could be one
of those?
SECOND CONDITIONAL
If I won the lottery, I would go to Sanrio
Puroland.
If he didn't have to work late, he could go out with his
friends.
They would travel around the world if they weren’t at
university.
There are times where we regret something that we did
in the past. What would you have done differently?
THIRD CONDITIONAL
If we had left earlier, we would have arrived on
time.
If I hadn’t learnt English, I wouldn’t have spoken with
foreigners.
She would have gotten a better result if she had worked
harder.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
If you won the
lottery
If you were a cat
If you could live
anywhere in the
world
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
If you could
meet someone
famous?
If you found a
million dollars in
a park?
If you could have
superpowers.
