The role of the Community Manager has changed from the days of bulletin boards, yet still most of the rules governing CM behaviour are still unwritten. This presentation draws on the homespun rules of cowboy behaviour, 'the Code of the West' which centered on hospitality, fair play, loyalty, and respect for the land as a template of the behaviours we expect of Community Managers today.
