The Beatles were a famous rock band from Liverpool, Britain that formed between 1957-1960 and consisted of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon. As the Beatles played more shows in Britain, their popularity skyrocketed and they gained recognition, though their early contracts paid them very little. Their popularity spread to the US in 1963 and their song "She Loves You" took off, leading to unprecedented crowds of screaming fans greeting them at the airport on their first visit to America.
