Nabil al Busaidi was born in London in 1970 and attended university in Bath, England, where he played soccer and American football. After graduating in 1998, he moved to Bahrain and became the first Arab to walk from Resolute Bay to the Magnetic North Pole in 2009, climb Mount Kilimanjaro that same year, and climb Mount Vinson in Antarctica in 2010. He also rowed over 4,600 km across the Atlantic Ocean in an effort to inspire Gulf students through his adventurous accomplishments.
