Edward Teller Award. As a recipient, E.
Michael Teller fulfilled numerous
requirements set by the American
Nuclear Society.

3. • The American Nuclear Society Edward
Teller Award recognizes scientists and
researchers at the forefront of the laser
and ion-particle beam science, with
specific focus on its use in the production
of high-density, high-temperature matter
for thermonuclear fusion. Below are three
requirements of the nomination process.

4. • 1. Prepare a summary of
accomplishments. Along with a letter of
recommendation, a narrative
summarizing the nominee’s
accomplishments must be submitted for
review.

5. • 2. Curate a list of publications. In
addition to filling out the nomination
form and submitting a letter of
recommendation, nominators must also
submit a list of the nominee’s relevant
publications. Relevant publications
encompass all those related to the use of
laser and ion-particle beams.

6. • 3. Have a resume prepared. Because much
information about the nominee will be
submitted with the nomination form, the
resume needs only be brief and
chronological.
