The amazing fire fighters

The students from a school visited the local fire station to learn about fire safety. They had morning tea where some had to sit on the ground due to lack of space. The students asked firefighters questions and saw a volunteer try on heavy firefighting gear. Outside, the students used hoses to spray water with some getting very wet, while others enjoyed getting others wet. The visit was a fun way for the students to learn important information about being fire wise.

During the morning activities, the students participated in shelter building, cooperative games, archery, and clue finding. They then had lunch before participating in a bush walk where they learned about different tree types and did rolly-polly's down a hill. Their favorite activity was the Burma Trail, where they had to hold a rope through the forest with blindfolds on. The girls' team won the quiz after. The day was enjoyed by all with more activities planned for tomorrow.

Karen and her brother John go to an island looking for a graveyard where Karen's twin brother Kenny died. They find an abandoned graveyard with an Aboriginal man sitting inside. They take his medicine bag, which turns out to be a mistake that unleashes strange noises and marks in their house. With the help of an expert named Weird Noah, they learn the man is a ghost who murdered someone, forcing him to remain and direct other ghosts.

Becky and her family took a trip to Queensland over two days of driving to meet family. They stopped overnight at her grandparents' house and a family friend's place. Upon arriving in Queensland, they checked into their hotel near the pool and spa. Becky, her siblings, and grandparents enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the heated pool and spa. That evening, the family went to a fancy restaurant where Becky enjoyed a parma for dinner and played on a mini slide to entertain herself.

The E-learning team took a field trip to the Maritime Museum and Journey to the Deep exhibit. They split into groups and explored the museum, seeing artifacts like a pirate ship. Then they had lunch and some classes went to Journey to the Deep, where they learned about sea creatures from a turtle, crab, and musical performance. They saw pollution in the ocean and beautiful starfish. At the end they met Henimoana, the god of the sea, and were reminded to care for the ocean.

- 2. On the 10th of May we went to the fire station to learn about being fire wise. We went to the Chartwell fire station.
- 3. When we got there we had some morning tea around the corner. There was one table and it wasn't enough space for everyone. So some people had to sit on the ground.
- 4. After morning tea we went inside to ask the fire fighterssome questions. Later the fire fighters got a volunteer to put on their gear. And the next thing you know it, it was Mrs Barlow. She said it was really reallyheavy.
- 5. Then we went outside to have a go of the hose.Wetried the lightest hose. Room 2 and 3 were wetting room 1 and the parents. Some kids got really wet. Room 2 and 3 got really happy wetting us.
- 6. We all had so much fun. We had learned a lot of information about fire safety. Come on guys get fire wise
