1. Could Paralympians using
RSP have an advantage over
able-bodied athletes in the
future?

2. - whether they can be manipulated within the
Paralympic classification rules .(different
types of prostheses have different properties)
- questionable equality in Paralympic events or
Paralympians transferring to able-bodied
events
3. - focussing on the abilities of RSP
- manipulate prosthesis height to conclude previous
theories
- Running events: 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m to calculate
ground force reaction balance and speed in acceleration,
curved running and endurance running.
-Instruments: 4ground force plates, 5 lacer receptors
throughout specific running distance
- compare to other research on able-bodied running to test
if their hypotheses can be transferred to disabled running
4. - More than two variables analysed, multivariate
analysis (2 prosthetic heights, ground forces, affect
on dependant variable over all running time)
- contingency table to show the relationship between
the independent variables on the dependent variable
- numerical representation of findings could also
calculate-acceleration, average
velocity,momentum,kinetic energy, force, work done.
5. - Physiotherapists working closely with
athletes and more so with disabled athletes
- what is fair in sports in regards to disability
classification in Paralympic events and
disabled athletes competing in able-bodied
events.(human rights and ethics)
