The document discusses trends in venture capital fundraising and investments. It notes that while VC fundraising has remained steady at around $25 billion per quarter, consumer tech investments have declined 25% and enterprise investments have fallen 40% from previous highs. However, startups have become markedly more capital efficient, requiring only half the funding to go public compared to a decade ago. This has led to a shift where some "mega seed" investments by VCs have replaced traditional Series A rounds, increasing company valuations earlier. While more seed money has increased competition for Series A deals, it has also created a bottleneck for some startups seeking Series B funding.

ties that can bring us closer together as a store. Together, Fabian, Heidi,
Maxine, Michele F., Tammy, and Tanya will be coordinating in store potlucks,
hosting food, toy drives and more. Currently the Team Building Board in the

own writer and mother herself, Maxine, in celebration of Mother’s Day. The Bay

2. Chinese New Year Parade 2010
Named one if the world’s top ten parades, Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is the largest celebration of its
kind outside of Asia. Reported by the SFPD it was said that 1,237,000 people watched the parade and one hundred
twenty units participated; many of the floats and specialty units
featured the theme of this year’s Chinese zodiac sign. Some of
the parade highlights included elaborately decorated floats,
school marching bands, martial arts groups, stilt walkers, lion
dancers, Chinese acrobatics, the newly crowned Miss Chinatown USA and the
Golden Dragon. This year Tiffany has launched a new charm collection created
by Paloma Picasso who was inspired by the Chinese Zodiac to depict each of
the 12 animals making up the horoscopes 12 year cycle.
Your 350 Post Newsletter Editor Danielle Lopez has participated in this marvel-
ous community event for the past 5 years. She has worked with VISA, California
Lotto, and Comcast choreographing for their floats and has worked with Jean
Parker and McCopplin Elementary, Saint Ignatius and American High School,
and the San Francisco Synchronized Swim Team. As this year celebrates the
Year of the Tiger, the students of SI high school wore traditional Chinese paja-
mas, tiger face paint complete with tiger ears performing a fan dance. At Tif-
fany & Co., we strive to ―create an environment that recognizes and rewards
creativity, initiative, and dedication and respects diversity, dignity and the shared values of community and family.‖
Miss Representation (formerly, Women & Power)
by Actress, Filmmaker and First Lady of San Francisco, Jennifer Siebel Newsom
Miss Representation explores women’s under-representation in posi-
tions of power and influence in America by challenging the limited por-
trayal of women as encouraged by the mainstream media. As the most
persuasive and pervasive force of communication in our culture, the
media dictates cultural values and gender norms, which in turn seep
into our subconscious and impact both our attitudes and actions. In this
climate of dangerous stereotypes and rigid gender roles, women are
trivialized, objectified, and rarely viewed as powerful figures—making it
more difficult for many women and young girls to feel powerful them-
selves. Accompanied by a collaborative social outreach campaign, Miss
Representation will celebrate women’s progress across America and
empower our audience to take action for transformative social change.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom recently had an event held at Tiffany & Co. on
Wednesday, February 24th, in which over seventy guests attended. Mrs.
Newsom took the opportunity to promote the film as well as bring aware-
ness about the message. Shortly after her introduction, a trailer Miss
Representation was played. For every at purchase Tiffany & Co. that was
made during the month of February and the documentary referenced,
10% of the proceeds went towards the organization.
