A man brought Elisha, the prophet, some fresh baked bread made from the first ripe grain. Elisha told his servant to set the bread before the people to eat, but there was only a little. However, the people ate and had some left over, about a hundred people, according to the word of the Lord. Jesus fed over 5,000 people from just five loaves of bread and two fish that a boy offered. When they had eaten their fill, Jesus told the disciples to gather the leftover fragments, which filled twelve baskets.
