Software testing concepts is going to enhance from manual testing to automated testing. Due to rapidly increasing complexity in software development process, the present manual testing technique is not sufficient for effective testing. Hence, here arises the requirement of test automation process. The automation testing is the software testing process in which the tester use advance automation tools for testing software applications areas, which needs to be tested again-and-again due to frequent changes.

Test Automation
Test automation is the use of test automation software like Selenium or self-developed testware to execute test cases.
Test automation is mostly used to automate repetitive testing tasks in a formalized way. It is also used to execute tests that would be difficult to perform manually like performance testing.
There are many advantages of test automation that are mostly related to the repeatability of the tests and the speed of test execution. There are a lot of commercial and open source tools available which can be grouped into two main categories; Code-Driven and Graphical User Interface Testing. Thus the key success factor in test automation is selecting the right tool and have a specialized test automation team.
It is to use test automation tools by considering ROI (return on investment). Otherwise it is quite easy to waste big amount of energy, commitment and definitely money.

Test Otomasyonu:

qLabs How To Get Maximum RoI Using Test Automationguest221c8e
Several organizations have tried to replace the Manual testing with the Test Automation tools. While they did reap its benefits, most also encountered a few roadblocks. A major disadvantage to record and playback is that the test has hard coded values and cannot cope with the small changes in the application responses. Hence, this approach has appeal for demonstrating examples of automation, but will not produce a scaleable or maintainable test automation solution.
qLabs solution for test automation meets all the demands for modern test systems. It consists of adaptable, object-oriented components that ensure the quick and easy implementation of customized solutions. We use a framework that provides all the mechanisms needed to run the test logic. The test script developer only needs to provide the test-specific logic.
Test automation efforts often result in failure or lack of long term commitment due to complexity and costs associated with maintaining test scripts. When testers find it difficult to construct, execute, or update scripts, expectations of management are not realized, resullting in project termination. We avoided test automation failure by utilizing an innovative framework which reduces maintenance burdens associated with test scripts while increases user productivity.

Continuous delivery is everywhere. Really?! Many teams still struggle to deliver well-tested product increments on a regular basis. Usually with the same old excuse: the (non)-functional tests are too complex and too expensive to implement thoroughly. But exactly the opposite is the case! In this talk, we briefly review the importance of early and regular testing of cloud-native applications and explain why monolithic CI pipelines are a dead end. We then show how easy it is to run integration, performance, security and acceptance tests continuously using Testkube directly on your Kubernetes cluster, fully integrated with a GitOps approach.

Key Concepts:
This presentation covers the test aspects of the Continuous Integration process. In a CI implementation automated tests are necessary, but not sufficient. The CI test framework (CITF) allows immediate build verification on multiple test tools and multiple test environments in parallel. CITF provides an interface for incorporating new releases, applications, resources, test tools. It offers multi-purpose standardized reports and presents a flexible interface for presenting the test results, and for reviewing, updating, and summarizing the information.
Learning Objectives:
How to design test objects that mirror the build infrastructure.
How to design a test infrastructure that mirrors the architecture and requirements.
How to describe the test environments and build them dynamically; optimize the usage of limited resources.
How to combine a variety of test tools within the same framework, in order to standardize the test results presentation and the debugging.

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
