repeated over and over again covering a plane
without any gaps or overlaps.

3. Regular Tessellation
Definition:
Regular Tessellation
A tessellation made up of congruent regular polygons,
also the interior angles of every regular tessellation
equals 360o.

4. Naming The Tessellation
To name a tessellation you have to first count how many
sides there are. For example if the tessellation was made
up of only square it would be called “4.4.4.4” because you
count the number of sides in each section of the
tessellation.

6. Semi- regular Tessellation
Definition
Semi- regular Tessellation
A tessellation that is made up of two or more regular
polygons, also the interior angles of every regular
tessellation equals 360o.
Properties of a Semi- regular Tessellation:
1. It is made up of regular polygons
2. The arrangement of polygons at every vertex point is
identical.
