6. What is the Tenner Challenge?
The Challenge uses real money to take calculated risks in business.
You have 4 weeks to set up a business – coming up with an idea of a
product or service you can sell and gain first hand experience of what
it’s like to become an entrepreneur and run your own business.
• A start up loan of £10 will be distributed from the Tenner Bank on Monday
19th February
• You can choose to work individually or a team
• The Challenge lasts for 4 weeks finishing on Friday 16th March
• Your opportunity to make money and make a difference
• There are weekly + national competitions to enter
• At end of the Challenge Tenner loan is repaid plus £1 legacy donation per
£10 back to Tenner Bank
• What will you do with your profit?

• To enter National Competition you must keep the online logbook up to date.
• The final Tenner competition will be divided into 2 different age groups:
Age 11 – 14
Age 15 – 19+
For both age categories there will be 5 different awards:
Most Profitable Business Idea
Most Inspiring Individual
Best Group
Best Community Engagement
Winners for each category invited to a trip to London and Awards Ceremony

• Decide on your business idea
• Collect a Business Plan Application from
the finance office.
• Complete and submit the Business Plan
to Mrs Pickford by the end of Thursday 8th
