Technological
Pedagogical Content
Knowledge
(TPACK)
What does TPACK all about?
Frame work describes the type of teacher knowledge
required to teach effectively with technology in
classroom.
 Introduces a new set of variables into the teaching
context and add complexity due to its rapidly
changing native.
 Provide a unifying structure as well as a guidance for
appropriate technology integration.
Goal:
To completely re-analyse the
Teaching-Learning process.
TPACK
To be able to use technology
effectively in teaching.
Frameworks for Technology Integration
 Technological knowledge (TK)
- This Refers not only on whether you are computer
literate but also knowing what technology is best to use
and how they should be utilize in teaching.
Pedagogical knowledge (PK)
- Refers to the principles and strategies of teaching.
- It includes your knowledge of the learners, and in
for formulating objectives, designing activities and
assessing your learners.
Content knowledge (CK)
- Refers to how well you know the subject area on
topic that you will teach.
- It includes how wide and how deep you know about
what you will teach.
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK)
- An approach in which the teacher not only knows
the in’s and out’s of a certain topic, but knows exactly
how to get the concepts across to students.
Technology Content Knowledge (TCK)
- It is an approach where the teacher
profoundly knows the topic that will be discuss and
integrate it to technology in order to make it more
interactive and avoid his/her students to get bored.
 Technological Pedagogical
Knowledge (TPK)
Knowledge about how a range of
technological tools can support teaching
Blends technology and pedagogical
knowledge to facilitate and contextualize
teaching and learning based on the effective
pedagogical strategies.
 Technological Pedagogical Content
Knowledge (TPCK)
Describes how technology can be uniquely crafted to
meet pedagogical to teach certain content in specific
content.
It represents important aspects in teaching.
“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of
thinking we used when we created them.” (Albert Einstein)
