This lesson plan introduces students to the Bill of Rights through group research and presentations. Students are divided into groups and each assigned a different amendment from the Bill of Rights to research using the internet. Each group then creates a PowerPoint presentation about their amendment to present to the class. The goal is for students to learn about the individual amendments that make up the Bill of Rights through collaborative work and presentations using internet research and PowerPoint.

Students will be introduced to the Bill Of Rights
First define the US Constitution, amendment and the Bill Of
Rights.

3. Initiating Activity
Separate students in to groups and assign each group an
amendment.
Instruct students to work with their group to research their
assigned amendment (using the internet)
Instruct students work with their group to create a power
point presentation about their amendment.
Allow groups to present to the class.

Students will use the internet on school computes to research
their assigned amendment.
Students will use the power point program to present their
findings
