This document outlines various courses and experiences that provide content and practice guidelines across 10 family life education areas. For each area, examples are given of coursework completed and assignments conducted that address the relevant guidelines. Courses covered include Global Ecology of the Family, Crisis and Resiliency, Adolescent Development, Human Sexuality, Intimate Relationships, Consumer Education, Effective Parenting, and Teaching Family Life Education. Assignments described include research on Irish families, analyzing stressors and resiliency factors, self-assessment of development, analyzing reproductive rights legislation, developing communication skills, budgeting, observing parent-child interactions, attending family court hearings, keeping confidential client records, and designing a community-based program.
