  1. Social media tools don’t build conversation. They support it.
  2. Social media offers a great opportunity for businesses to reconnect with people. If people realize realize that business today is not necessarily representative of real world desires
  3. Markets are conversations. The time of passive masses has passed. This is now an attention economy. A link economy.
  4. This doesn’t always work well with traditional corporate norms. Audiences want to be talked to, not talked at.
  5. Customers are now in charge. People find each other. Join forces. They can support you, correct you, criticize you, hurt you, help you.
