Taylor Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania in 1989 and began songwriting at age 5, releasing her debut album at 16. She was inspired by her grandmother, an opera singer, and learned guitar at age 12 in order to write her own songs. Swift went on to win several awards, including the Grammy for Best Country Album, and date Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers briefly in 2008 while achieving commercial success with multiple album releases from 2006 to 2012.
