سیدنا حضرت المصلح الموعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی تحریرات کی روشنی میں
انبیاء علیہم السلام کی بعثت ایسے وقت میں ہوتی ہے جبکہ دنیا میں ظلمت اور تاریکی کا دور دورہ ہوتا ہے اور ’’ظھر الفساد فی البر والبحر‘‘کی کیفیت ہوتی ہے۔ انبیاء علیہم السلام کی بعثت کے طفیل اللہ تعالیٰ ان ظلمتوں اور اندھیروں کو اپنے نور کے ذریعہ زائل کرتا ہے اور ایمان لانے والی اور عمل صالح کرنے والی جماعتیں کھڑی کر دیتا ہے۔ نورنبوت کے فیضان کو امت میں لمبے عرصہ تک ممتد کرنے کے لئے ان ایمان داروں اور عمل صالح کرنے والے لوگوں میں خلافت کا سلسلہ جاری فرماتا ہے ۔ ہمارے اس زمانہ میں بھی اللہ تعالیٰ نے دین اسلام کے احیاء اور شریعت اسلامیہ کے قیام کی غرض سے حضرت مسیح موعود علیہ السلام کو مبعوث فرمایا اور آپ کی وفات کے بعد جماعت میں اپنی قدرت ثانیہ کا ظہور فرماتے ہوئے سلسلہ خلافت کو قائم فرمایا۔
جماعت احمدیہ میں سب سے پہلی خلافت ۲۷؍ مئی ۱۹۰۸ء کو قائم ہوئی۔ چنانچہ اسی وجہ سے ہر سال ۲۷ ؍ مئی کو یوم خلافت منایا جاتا ہے۔ تا کہ اس موقعہ پر خلافت کی اہمیت اورخلیفہ کے مقام کی اہمیت جماعت کے افراد پر واضح کی جایا کرے۔ پس ’’ ذکر فان الذکر تنفع المومنین‘‘ کے ارشاد خداوندی کے تحت ذیل میں سیدنا حضرت خلیفۃ المسیح الثانی المصلح الموعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی تحریرات ’’ خلیفہ کا مقام اور اس کی اہمیت‘‘ کے بارہ میں پیش کی جاتی ہیں تا کہ احباب جماعت ا ن ارشادات کی روشنی میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی نعمت خلافت کی قدر کریں اور ’’ ولئن شکرتم لازیدنکم‘‘ کے مطابق اس نعمت کو اپنے اندر دیر تک جاری رکھنے کا موجب ہوں۔
