The family is the primary social unit in society and can be defined as a couple, single parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, siblings, or close friends who provide love and support for one another. Families come in many forms, such as nuclear families with parents and children, extended families with additional relatives, single parent families, or families assembled from close relationships. All families support each other through both good and difficult times.
