MY FAVORITE SPORT
My favorite sport is basketball. You can play this game outdoors or indoors.
Basketball is a very popular sport worldwide, played with a round, orange ball that bounces. The
sport was created in Springfield, Massachusetts, by a professor named Dr. James Naismith in the
year 1891.
You can play basketball in a court with a high metal ring at each end and a ball.
You don´t need special equipment to play. You can wear a pair of sneakers, shorts and a t-shirt.
Boys and girls can play basketball. In a basketball team there are five players.
You can throw the ball to other people in your team. You can bounce the ball, and you can hold the
ball for five seconds. You can’t hold the ball for longer than five seconds. To score a goal, you
throw the ball into a high metal ring in the other team’s half of the court. I love basketball but I can’t
play it very well.
