Consulting in Today's Marketplace Survey Results
Independent consultants are anxious about the current market situation as many have seen work cancelled or postponed with no future work date scheduled. That is one of the findings of a recent study by Solverie Inc.
The goals of this survey were to learn more about how this changing market is affecting independent consultants and their work, and to identify opportunities to provide support to consultants during this challenging time. 138 consultants responded to the survey in June and July 2020 with a good distribution across different levels of experience.

The top three reasons US employees leave their employers are unsatisfactory leadership from senior management (14%), lack of opportunities for advancement (12%), and lack of rewards/recognition for contributions (9%). When employees leave Company A, the most common reasons are lack of opportunities for advancement (14%), dissatisfaction with compensation/benefits (14%), and unsatisfactory leadership from senior management (11%). Compared to its peers, employees are more likely to leave Company A due to a lack of challenges, poor fit with skills, and values not aligning with the company culture.

Tiffany says, "I think we need to research some locations, but I think there is more to it than that. There still needs to be a decision on the type of strategy or approach we are taking.
