Networks into artworks by the artist Elena ParouchevaElena Paroucheva
The projects of Elena Paroucheva aim at emphasizing the above ground networks of energy distribution.
Instead of trying to hide them in the landscape, she transforms them into artworks. These projects involve
the support of networks and pylons:- Low, medium and high voltage power lines - Renewable energy
windmills - Cellular Relay - Antennas - Lighting – highways, stadiums, public spaces, etc.
Her are of two kinds:
Art Installations: This solution treats the transformation of existing building in the environment. They are
investigated according to reception area and allow the modification of the visual aspect of the infrastructure
into artistic works.
Sculptures: This way explores new forms for pylons to be implanted in the landscape, urban and rural
areas. Sculptures use "symbolically" the same modules of metallic construction for the realization of
« pylons - sculptures », « antennas - sculptures », « wind energy - sculptures » and “lighting – sculptures”.

This paper examines how Paris has used contemporary art to rebrand itself as a cutting-edge global city following World War II. Post-war, Paris saw its brand of artistic supremacy replaced by New York. In response, Paris began promoting contemporary art festivals, exhibitions, and museums to regain cultural relevance on the global stage. Events like the FIAC art fair and Nuit Blanche incorporated contemporary art into the city and attracted international audiences. The paper argues this "rebranding" of Paris through contemporary art aims to validate its claim to continued global cultural dominance.

BIO
A sculptor nurtured by the eclectism of the School
of Decorative Arts in Paris, Taïne’s insparation lies
in anecdotes drawn from her everyday life.
Her work is a scenography of émotions, sentiments,
a fixing of memories, an illustration of ordinary life.
Memories of dispersed moments, objects and mate-
rials, are ordered in structured but living composi-
tions.
Sculptures, materials, decorative techniques, are all
associated in a gay and whimsical presentation to
narrate, with impassioned intonations, an incessant
chattering, a story that must release emotion.
In parallel with a continuing personal quest, I colla-
borate in the equiping of public and private spaces.
My objective : to illustrate through creativity and hu-
mour the function of the sites, to facilitate their ap-
propriation by the people who frequent them, while
maintaining a great respect for the architecture.
The realisation must participate in the everyday life
around and not remain lifeless and unchanging.
Inscribed in the site, it must be in harmony with it, a
representative element.
Respecting the constraints and objectives of each
project, I take charge of the whole project of visual
animation, or intervenes with sculptures or décors in
collaboration with the project manager and owner
About Sculptures
