1. Celine fell into a manhole during a flood in the small town of Lunel, France and was swept into the drainage system. She struggled to survive for five hours as debris smashed against her in the icy water. 2. Celine was determined to survive to be there for her daughter Amandine's upcoming 12th birthday. She grabbed onto anything she could, including plastic pipes and tufts of grass, to keep her head above water. 3. After five hours, firefighters rescued Celine from the drainage system, much to the surprise of her husband Serge who had thought she was dead. Celine survived through her strong will to live for her daughter.
