Walk a Mile in a Veteran’s Boots 2015
The Story Behind the Boots
This is the fourth year UNH Manchester has raised funds for Liberty House, the shelter
for homeless veterans in Manchester. UNH Manchester students, faculty, staff, and
guests purchased paper boots for $1 to show their support. The boots honor our friends,
family, and comrades who are active duty, those who have served, and those who have
sacrificed. All funds raised go to Liberty House. For every dollar raised, Liberty House
receives $20 in purchasing power at the food bank. Please read the dedications with
respect and reflect upon those to whom our community has
dedicated boots.
This year the Student Veteran Advocacy Team raised a
total of $1,257.70 to donate to the Liberty House. This
generates $25,154 for the Liberty House in purchasing
power at the food bank.
