Sustainable Farming
 Labor and lack of constant income are the basic problems faced by all kind of
farmers ( Small, Medium & Large ).
 Sustainable farming is the only permanent solution for this.
 Multi crop and bio diversity is the fundamental for Sustainable farming. Its totally
self dependent
 From seeds to marketing and even selling is self dependent.
 Long lasting, Permanent and sustainable practices requires very less labors.
 Bio diversity cycle makes one waste into others food and require nothing from
outside which makes our farm into self dependent and generates constant income.
Fundamentals of sustainable Farming
 No ploughing
 No Weeding / Pruning
 No manure / pesticides from out side
 All the farm needs are made within the farm even
if buying a cattle one should earned the money
required from the farm itself.
 By using Permanent, Long-lasting methods we
should save the rain and harvest the sun the
maximum.
Requirements / Needs for sustainable
Farming
 Plants
 Trees
 Birds
 Animals
 Fish Pond ( Rainwater Harvesting Pond )
Sustainable Farming
Permanent, Long-lasting Farming
Sustainable Farming in as less than 50
cents of land
 In 5 cents a house, and shelters for 2 Desi Cows, 5 Goats & 100
Country Hens.
 In 10 cents land Forage grass for Cows & Goats. ( Ko 4 Farage
grass in 4 cents, HEDGE LUCERNE - VELIMASAL ( Desmanthus
virgatus ) in 3 cents and Forage Maize ( KO F S 29) in 3 cents.
 In 5 cents a Fish Pond ( Rain Harvesting Pond )
 In 30 cents of land Greens & Vegitables using Permaculture
Methods.( 10 cents for Greens, 15 Cents for Vegitables & 5
cents for marrygold )
 For fencing Teak, White cedar, Agathi Keerai ( TELUGU: Avise,
Hindi: Agasti, KANNADA: Agase, MALAYALAM: Agathi ), Gliricidia,
etc.
Aproximate investment needed
 Shelters for Desi Cows, Goats & Country Hens

Income
By Growing 4+1 Goats Minimum of
Rs.50,000/- per annum
 One goat can yield 2-3 kids per time and 3 times
within 2 years.
 If we take only 2 kids per time then 6 kids per 2
years. And 3 kids per year.
 For 4 goats 3 kids * 4 = 12 kids in total.
 12 * Rs.5,000 = Rs.60,000/- per year.
By Desi Cow Rs.50,000/- Per Annum
 By maintaining 2 cows and one cow yielding
milk at a time we get 4 L of milk per day.
And per month 120 L of milk and per year
1,440 L of milk.
 If we sell Rs.35 per L then Rs.50,400/- per
annum
Country Hen Can fetch Rs.1,00,000/- per
Annum
 With 100 hens and 30 hens are yields egg on an
average then daily 30 eggs.
 30*30 =900 eggs per month and 900*12= 10,800
eggs per year.
 One egg = Rs,10 then 10800*10= Rs.1,08,000/- per
year.
 With Chicken Meat at least Rs.20,000/- per year
By Greens and Vegetables can earn
Rs.1,95,000/- per annum
 Greens in 10 cents can fetch 30 bunches of greens per
day.
 Per month 900 bunches and per year (10 months) 900
bunches * rs.10 = Rs.90,000/- per annum
 Vegetables in 15 cents can fetch 400KGs of vegetables per
month and per year (10 months) 4000 Kgs of vegetables *
Rs.20/Kg then Rs.80,000/- per annum
 Marrygold in 5 cents can fetch 100KGs per month and
1000KGs per year( 10 months ) 1000 * 25 = Rs.25,000/- per
annum
5 Cent Fish Pond can earn as much as
Rs.1,25,000/- per annum
 In 2000 viraal fishes only 1000 survives then
it will be minimum of 750 g per fish within
8 months.
 1000 * 750 grams = 750Kgs Of Fish * Rs.150
/ Kg then Rs. 1,12,500/- in 8 months.
 From Rogu, Katla, Jilabe etc will get
additional Rs. 15,000/- per 8 months
Labor needs and Selling Difficulties
 A couple can easily manage all the above works in
50 cents very easily by spending 4-6 hrs. daily.
 In very few times only outside labor requires.
 Selling 30 bunches of greens, 40 KGs of different
vegetables, Milk, Meat and Eggs etc is a very easy
job. Most of the items will sold @ farm only.
 Easily can earn regular customers for low quantity
and multi products above all 100% natural food.
Very Important to understand
 Bio diversity and Natural eco cycle maintained here. Mono
crop or Live stock alone wont workout this way.
 For an example if put all 50 acres only brinjaal or vendi
will definitely a lose.
 For Mono crops and Mono live stocks all the inputs needs
to be sourced from outside whereas in our plan everything
we required is generated within our 50 cents of land.
 All wastes are used for others food. Micro organs, insects,
birds, animals, plants and trees are helping each other for
everything they needed. This is the cycle we should
understand and not to disturb.
Total Income
 By Cows Rs.50,000/-
 By Goats Rs.50,000/-
 By Hens Rs.1,00,000/-
 By Fish Rs.1,25,000/-

 3-6 months they can buy a cow with the savings.
 In another 3-6 month they can make fish pond with the
savings
 In next 8 month they will be able to implement everything
else they needed from the above plan by selling fish.
 Minimum 14 months and maximum of 20 months they will
become 100% self driven sustainable farmers of their life.
Execution Plan 2
 They can get one lack rupees as loan from
bank or from any societies and pay back
within 1 year or two.
Execution Plan - 3
 Like minded people like us can lend money to the
selected farmer to buy a cow or construct a
shelter or fish pond etc.
 We will get back our money in terms of milk,
greens, vegetables, meat, egg etc.
 Beyond interest we get 100% pure food and also
helping a deserving a farmer.
