DC. Taylor led a Procurement
Department of 2800 contracting
officials around the country, procuring
services and supplies for 153 veterans’
hospitals and hundreds of veterans’
clinics. During her time there, until her
retirement from its leadership position
in late 2014, the department made
annual procurements of over $15
billion.

Susan M. Taylor joined the Federal Government in 1985. She worked for as
the Director of Contracting for Ginnie Mae, a contracting agency within the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for eight years. She moved
through many departments of the Federal Government until she landed at the
Department of Veterans Affairs as the Deputy Procurement Officer for the
Veterans Health Administration. She retired in November of 2014.
