Federal regulations require trailer lights to work properly at all times for safety and visibility. Trailer lights malfunctioning can lead to accidents and liability for companies. Shim devices were tested on various trailer types that help lights work properly by [1)] holding the plug firmly in place to prevent wobbling, [2)] making plugs and receptacles last longer, and [3)] saving lives, property, time and money while increasing safety. DOT inspectors and drivers confirmed the shims are an effective solution to the ongoing problem of trailer light malfunctions.
