Checking production plans and manpower levels, making adjustments as needed. 3. Overseeing quality control and solving any operator issues. 4. Filling out daily reports and maintaining production targets.

Following are the jobs done by me during my shift.
1. Take charge of the shift from other supervisor.
2. See the actual condition on every machine and take necessary actions such as
3. Change, rectification of breakages. Rectification of any quality problems.
See the work planning book and log book to check which sizes are running on
machine and which are to be taken up during the shift.
4. Organize required dies from the die shop.
5. See actual manpower present.
6. Adjust the available manpower so that required machines can be run and required
type of wire can be produced.
7. Report to the manager about the manpower status. Get in touch with contractor to get
required no. of persons to run the machines.
8. Arrange the person for rewinding of short packs.
9. See that bare wire material feeding is proper and organize for the same from wire
drawing section.
10. In case absenteeism help the operators to run the machines.
11. Help the operators during size change wire breakage and brazing of joints.
12. After size change or brazing give the starting sample to QA and get it approved.
Then continue the production.
13. Solve problems of the operators if any. Organize for material requirement if any.
14. See the water level of DM water tank. If level is less and regeneration is required then
Take necessary action.
15. After achieving required level switch off the pump.
16. Give material requisition slip for felt, enamel, MTO, wax, labels for reels and other
auxiliary materials to stores, get the material from stores and keep it as designated
place.
17. In first shit reels of required size for the day to be organized from store.
18. Checking of level in enamel tanks and fill up the same with help of helper.
To run the machines at correct VD to achieve targeted output.
19. Check the quality of wire coming out from the machines. If any anomaly then take
the necessary action.
20. Get the produced wire checked by quality inspector and shift the same to the BSR
area.
21. Fill up daily shift report and give it to the manager.

2. 22. As per the schedule do the cleaning of machines.
23. Follow good housekeeping practices.
24. See the minimum scrap get generated during the shift. Keep the scrap shift wise and
report the reasons for the same.
25. Reporting to maintenance department about the machine breakdown if any and get it
prepared in minimum possible time.
26. Check the parameters of the machines and fill up the check sheet.
27. To run machines at correct VD to achieve targeted output.
