NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. Last date to return your Advent ‘campaign against hunger and decease’ envelopes is coming Sunday,
7th January. You may bring them back with your contribution and drop them in the community fund box
or handover in the parish office. Please write your complete address and other details.
2. TomorrowMonday, 1st January, we celebrate the Solemnity of Mother of God and New Year day. The
New Year vigil mass will begin with a Holy Hour at 10 pm today/tomorrow. Our parishioners are invited
to attend this thanksgiving holy hour and thank God for all His blessings during the year 2017. New
Year solemn mass will begin at 11pm. On the New Year day, Monday, mass schedule will be - morning
7 in Konkani, and 8.30 in English. No evening mass on New Year day.
3. Coming Friday is first Friday of the month. Half holy hour as usual after the evening mass.
4. The Sacrament of Confirmation for our youth will be administered by Bishop Allwyn D’Silva on coming
Sunday, 7th January. On coming Sunday, instead of 9.30 am, the mass will begin at 10. Due to
Confirmation, the January PPC meeting is postponed to the second Sunday, 14th January.
5. The archdiocesan environmentcell and the diocesan catechetical centre have organised a programme
called NURTURING FAITH THROUGH NATURE at Goregaon seminary on Sunday, 21st January.
Children give your name to Jacintha, Sunday school coordinator. Last date to send the names is 14th
January.
6. The PYC will be organizing Group Dance Competition as part of the Parish Feast Celebrations. For
entry form with further details is available with Fr Henry or in the parish office. Last date to return your
entry is Sunday, 14th January.
7. January Bible Quest will be held on Sunday 21st January in the letter of St Paul to Romans.
8. The Bible Diary for 2018 has come. Contact liturgy stall. The bible diary contains the daily mass
readings and reflections, useful for personal and family prayer. Bible diary can be also used as a gift
article for any occasion.
9. Today/tomorrow Sunday evening, there will be no 5.30 pm Konkani mass as we have the New Year
vigil service.
10. (8.15 am mass) The Sunday school children, please note. After the mass, go to the AV hall on second
floor for the Sunday school Christmas celebration. Please follow the instructions of your teachers.
