Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama provides cottages for veterans and their families. The foundation collaborates with UAB Research and provides various programs and activities for veterans, including instruction in track and field events, resistance training, Paralympic powerlifting, sit volleyball, women's camps focusing on adapted cycling, yoga, and wheelchair tennis. Activities also include goalball instruction, water skiing, and shooting at a live range to assist veterans with visual impairments. The foundation thanks supporters for their assistance during the sabbatical period.
