Maddy Darcey, an 8th-grade volunteer, helped at the McKinley High School cafeteria for the Friends of the Library of Hawaii book sale. Her tasks included sorting books, assisting patrons, cleaning, and packing unsold books. This experience enhanced her skills in teamwork, promoting reading, and fostered a sense of self-worth.
