Heb 13:
Vs.1 Let brotherly love continue: What does this statement suggest?
Heb 1:1-6 say >Love started Christ earthly mission.

 Suggests: Church family ought to seek the lost sheep at the top of the
mountain as well as those in the midst of the multitude. Matthew
10:6, “But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
? If you won’t seek brothers whom you know, what makes you think you’ll
seek strangers whom you don’t know? Vs.2...Do not forget to entertain
strangers, for some have unwittingly entertained angels unaware.

Vs.3 Visit Prisoners, speak up for those who are mistreated. Why? You are
part of that body too. [Gangrenes infect you feet?] Isaiah 53:6, “All we like
sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the
LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Ephesians 2:12 That at that
time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,
and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without
God in the world:

Romans 5:6 Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:8 But God commends
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

2. 13:4 The Bible says: Marriage is honourable: There’s a Difference between
Marriage & a Wedding. Marriage is Holy Matrimony>Wedding is a
Social Ceremony [John 2:1 Marriage in Cana]
Gen 2:24, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall
cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”[Recruit>reproduce]
People who live>>Alternative Lifestyle: Marriage is a Union between
two people: Psalms 2:1, 2 says, “Earthly Kings and rulers are about to Rob
God of his power by setting up and Taking counsel against him.”

Marriage is not only [a holy intimacy] but also a spiritual intimacy:
1Corithians 7:6, 7, “But I speak this by permission, [and] not of
commandment. 7:7 For I [Paul] would that all men were [single] even as I
myself.”
! When your: Job, Spouse, house, profession, career, business,
appetite, idea, self, or anything, you are not honourable.
Ladies: When>stagger through the door with a man...you’re...honourable
When>pass compliments to camouflage criticism...honourable
Gentlemen: When>won’t work but can work, you’re...honourable
When>live to pro-create but neglect to carry your weight
Adults: When>trade in covenant love for condom love...honourable
When> you’re looking for someone to love you rather than someone you
can’t do without [Jesus Christ]
Teenagers/Kids: When>call Parental Correction an abuse...honourable.
When>you’ll answer back and speak to your parents anyhow...honourable

The latter part of 13:4 says, “Those who are not honourable join the list of
two others already on God’s hit-list.” Hebrews 1:13: Jesus supplies your
needs, not your greed.

Vs.7 Leaders who love God ought to speak God’s word, not their opinions:
[teach man’s dogmas] Isaiah 58:13, “And shall honour him, nor speaking
your own word”
Too many Leaders have become SPIN DOCTORS. Gen 3:1, 4, 5
[Satan]>you shall not surely die. God is hiding something from you.

Leaders who love the brethren must be: Faithful not fearful:
Warrior/Wimp [Joshua, Moses not>like Eli]

3. Leaders who love the brethren: Compassionate and not compromise:
Jesus called>Pharisees: Open sepulchres & brood of vipers

13:9 Leaders who love the brethren: Discern deception:
 [Jesus said to Judas: Make haste and do what you’ve come to do]
 Paul said to Annanias Why have you sought to...the Holy Spirit?
Matthew 24:25, 26, “Behold, if someone says to you, “Christ is in the desert;
go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. Why?
13:9, “For it is good that the heart be established by grace.” 13:12. Jesus is
the one who sanctifies you.

Christians who have brotherly love:
L=listening when another is speaking
O=overlooking petty faults and forgiving all failures
V=valuing other people for who they are
E=expressing love in a practical way

When you compare Heb 13: 20 with ACTS 1:11, JESUS BRINGS HOME
HIS FINAL MESSAGE before his benediction, both to his church of 12
disciples perched at the top of a mountain, and to us today:
“A VERTICAL PERSPECTIVE KEEPS YOU FROM A HORIZONTAL
PANIC”
